Consular duties

The Consular duties of this Mission involve the protection of the basic internationally recognisable rights of Fiji nationals residing in or visiting the UK, within the constraints of international agreements and law. To achieve this, the Mission assists and provides advises in the following areas:

• renewal of Fiji passports;
• registering births and deaths of Fiji citizens in the UK;
• offering advice and assistance to Fiji nationals who get arrested or become the victim of a crime;
• offering advice and assistance to Fiji nationals who fall ill or to the families of Fiji citizens that die in the UK;
• providing Travel Advice for those planning journeys in the region and beyond
